The medical centre in Årdal is responsible for all vaccinations in the municipality. This includes the childrens vaccine program, travel vaccinations, flu shots as well as the Meningococcal vaccine for youths.

Flu vaccines
The municipality offers flu vaccination every autumn. If you are 65 years old or categorized as in a risk group, you will be offered the vaccination.
The times of the vaccination will be advertised in the local newspaper, eldery centres, library and on our website. The information consists of times and prices.
This vaccination has to be repeated yearly.
Travel vaccines
Your age and travel destination is important when it comes to recommended vaccines. For best protection from the vaccines, you should start the vaccination process well in advance of your travels.
Vaccines against meningitis
The Norwegian Health Institute recommend youth between 16-19 years of age to get vaccinated against meningitis.
The nurse at Årdal vidaregåande skule (High school) will inform the school classes regarding the free vaccination every year.
